Martin (b. 1988), 26 years old, skipper of Aura. Martin has been crazy with boats since he was a little boy, and started in the Optimist, then the Zoom8 and later the laser dinghy. Years of Laser dinghy sailing in SKB Hundige led to selection for youth national by Team Denmark in addition to 470-dinghy sailing. Knowledge of keelboats truly entered the picture for about two years where Martin along with five others sailed a beautiful Husky 26 wooden boat named Nynne. At the end of 2014, it was time to be a boat owner where the choice fell on splendid Aura. Martin has proficiency, VHF certificate and yacht skipper 3 in addition to several of DOCAs courses.

Terese (b. 1989), 25 years old, skipper’s second hand and Martin’s girlfriend. Sailing experience is somewhat limited: Terese set foot on a sailboat about five times before she met Martin. After buying the Aura she has been trained a little more: the longest trip has been ten hours in a day’s sailing, the rest of sailing experience may come along 🙂 Terese took proficiency and bought Aura with Martin. Terese provides administrative and communication tasks, including webmaster blog, preparation of relevant documents reassurance of family members who may need this while this project is provided, planning supplies etc.
